Project Description:

This program accommodated 16 beds, and was the first program Monte Nido opened in Texas and it was crucial for gaining a foothold in the market. 

This project involved renovating a residential home and designing for an adolescent residential treatment center. Adapting an existing residential structure posed challenges, including reconfiguring interior layouts, upgrading building systems, and integrating specialized treatment spaces while preserving a warm, home-like environment. Monte Nido needed the facility operational quickly to meet rising demand for adolescent eating-disorder treatment in the Houston region. This required tight coordination among construction teams, designers, inspectors, and the client’s operational leadership.
